Friends of Dundonald Castle SCIO (SC013541), are absolutely delighted to have received funding on behalf of the Historic Environment Recovery Fund allocated by Scottish Government and Historic Environment Scotland.
We have always been proud to be self-sustaining as a charity, without reliance on grants, but the Covid-19 pandemic has severely impacted on our ability to uphold this tradition.
During these unprecedented times, the HERF award will ensure that key members of our staff can remain in post to ensure that we remain robust and resilient going forward. The grant will also allow us to continue to digitally connect and engage with, and support, our wider community and to share our passionate belief in the many benefits that heritage can provide. Delivery of this is needed now more than ever.
We are extremely grateful for the unwavering support of our partners, stakeholders, volunteers and community during these challenging times. Our team are looking forward to reopening the doors of Dundonald Castle & Visitor Centre again before too long and delivering the excellent service which our visitors expect, made possible by this most welcome award.
