Community-Led Tourism #ScotVisitorEconomy

Today [25/04/2025] is #CommunityTourismDay25 – and we’re proud to be part of it!

At Dundonald Castle, community isn’t just part of the story—it is the story.

From 3,500 years of history and archaeology to school visits, coffee, crafts, castle tours, weddings and events, everything we do is powered by local people, partnerships, and passion. Whether you’re popping in for a cuppa, popping along to one of our regular groups such as Knit n Natter or the Silent Book Club, or volunteering on a dig, you’re helping to make this ancient hilltop a living, breathing hub for everyone!

We’re proud to be featured by VisitScotland as a case study in community-led tourism, highlighting our role in Scotland’s visitor economy.

Thank you to our team, community, supporters, visitors, and partners. You’re what makes us thrive!
