Dundonald Castle Temporary Closure

Historic Environment Scotland have temporarily closed Dundonald Castle, along with many other sites across Scotland, due to safety concerns. Everyone is working hard to get the castle open again as soon as it is safe 🏰

For now, public access is still available up to the new fence line – you can still see out over the village of Dundonald and Ayrshire; sometimes on a clear day you can see all the way to the Paps of Jura 🏞️

The Visitor Centre remains open with its coffee shop (sit in or takeaway), toilet facilities and small museum ☕

Visitor Centre opening times: Mon-Fri 11am-4pm and Sat-Sun 11am-5pm
